Book update: as of now, the book is dead in the water.  The publisher turned out to not be interested in the project and stonewalled both Dad and me.  This is dissapointing, but at least I don't have to beat my head against a brick wall trying to work with them.  My hope is to turn the project into something different, to share his research about the old prison, and also highlight his prison advocacy work.
